About 10 miles northwest of Taos, NM, is the "Gorge Bridge, which soars 650 feet above the Rio Grande, and is the 5th highest bridge in the US. The gorge itself intrigued me with a myriad of textures, so I rendered this image with the pinhole effect which highlighted the contrasting elements found in the geological clefts, ridges and tectonic chasm. While capturing this scene, I was standing on an observation deck at the bridge's midpoint, but the truly amazing aspect is how the line of clouds lifted in the distant horizon, which reminded me of a suspension bridge constructed by light.
