While exploring an abandoned homestead in rural Florida, I found the remnants of a wooden crate, which at one time was filled with vegetables, then loaded onto a truck for transport to local markets or produce stands. Within a short distance of this site, an abandoned Studebaker truck sits quietly resting underneath a canopy of oak trees. Since the crate and truck were once owned by farmers who were neighbors of each other, I decided to create a "story" about their close proximity and shared way of life by overlaying the crate image with a jigsaw pattern of glass and leaves found near the truck.
