Beams Abstract

Old buildings fascinate me, because their unique features express the point of history when they were first designed and built. Photographing the interiors of dilapidated structures can be challenging, especially when the only lighting is provided by sunbeams filtering through grimy or broken windows, but this often leads to interesting discoveries of unusual patterns and textures, like this image, titled "Beams Abstract, which I captured while exploring a circa-1896 building. During post-edits, I decided to render it as an abstract to celebrate the juxtaposition between beams and floor joists.
